Play-based learning

Age-specific learning rooms

Discover a nurturing place for your child to grow. Our Lake Albert daycare centre’s five play-based learning rooms are designed to support babies, toddlers and preschool children at each stage of early childhood development.

Children spend the day in bright, open spaces where they’re encouraged to build friendships and develop new skills, while our littlest learners are cared for in a comfy nursery with a quiet cot room for restful sleep.

A safe space for outdoor play and exploration

Outside, children are able to stretch their bodies, follow their curiosity and connect with nature. Our outdoor play areas support active play, imagination and discovery. Children can craft creations in the sandpit, explore sensory areas and interact with elements that inspire questions, creativity and confidence.

The fenced playground features large zones for running and group play, along with shaded areas that invite children to enjoy fresh air all year round. With approximately 1,068 square metres of outdoor space, there’s plenty of room to move, learn and brave an exciting adventure!

Childcare fees at Juniors Journey depend on your child’s age, how many days they attend, and whether your family receives the Australian Government Child Care Subsidy (CCS).

Many Lake Albert families find that the subsidy significantly lowers their out-of-pocket childcare costs.

Because every family’s situation is different, the best way to understand fees is to speak with our team. We’re always happy to explain our pricing, provide a clear fee guide, and help you understand how the CCS may apply to your family.

Yes. Juniors Journey is an approved CCS provider. This means eligible families can use the subsidy to reduce the cost of early childhood education in Lake Albert.

The amount of support you receive depends on factors like your household income, activity levels and the number of hours your child attends care.

If you’re unsure how the subsidy works for Wagga Wagga childcare, we can help guide you through the process and explain how to apply through your myGov and Centrelink account.

We have five dedicated learning rooms, each designed for a specific age group, so children can learn and play in an environment suited to their stage of physical, cognitive, and social development.

Room capacities at our Lake Albert early learning centre are as follows:

  • Nursery (Babies): 10 places
  • Toddler Room (2 years): 25 places
  • Preschool Room 1 (3 years): 25 places
  • Preschool Room 2 (4 years): 25 places
  • Kindergarten Readiness (5 years): 25 places

These group sizes allow our educators to build strong relationships with each child while providing the care, attention and enhanced learning programs they need to thrive.

Each day at Juniors Journey is designed to help children feel safe, capable and connected to the world around them. We adopt the Early Years Learning Framework, encouraging play-based learning for all ages.

Babies (0 to 2 years)
Our nursery provides gentle care and consistent routines. Babies enjoy sensory play, music, stories and one-on-one attention that supports early communication and trust.

Toddlers (2 to 3 years)
Toddlers explore through play. Activities help them build language, independence and social skills while learning to express their feelings and ideas.

Preschoolers (3 to 5 years)
Our preschool program prepares children for a confident transition to school with early literacy, numeracy and problem-solving activities. Children also learn teamwork, independence and confidence.

Across every age group, our educators focus on helping children feel supported, valued and excited to learn every day.
Throughout the day, our in-house chefs nourish little minds and bodies with nutritious meals that encourage healthy eating from a young age.
