Being an Early Childhood Educator is a wonderful and rewarding profession.

Being an Early Childhood Educator is a wonderful and rewarding profession.
It has always been my passion to work with children and learn and grow alongside them. Children need all the support, care and guidance possible to help them learn and thrive, whilst exploring and discovering a world of new opportunities and possibilities.

Building strong and trusting relationships with families is crucial to providing the best possible care for each child’s development. It’s important to instil confidence in children to encourage enthusiasm, motivation, creativity, curiosity and an interest in growing as a person.

I pride myself on greeting every individual who walks through the doors of our Abercrombie childcare centre with a great deal of respect, excitement, and a warm-hearted smile. Every person, no matter their age, is strong, capable, creative, and authentic, and everyone plays an important role in our world.

I have always been driven to teach, guide and empower others to reach their potential. As a mentor, it’s important to help people see the talent and abilities they have within themselves that they might not see on their own and help to bring them out and shine. Not only for themselves, but to help them inspire others in a supportive environment.

I’m very passionate about the Early Childhood Sector, supporting the rights of every child and supporting their social and emotional wellbeing. I have always been a strong advocate for children and try to go above and beyond to help their voices be heard in my day-to-day practice.

I consider my job as an advocate, educator, and leader to be creating a safe, welcoming, open-ended, and fun environment where children and educators can collaborate to help foster determination, imagination, inquisitiveness and an inspirational place to be, belong and become.

I believe families are the most influential teachers in a child’s life. My ambitious and attentive personality has helped me in the past be able to offer guidance to other educators, children, and parents, to support them in their unique early learning journey.

I always try to remember –

“A Day without laughter is a day wasted”.

Babies (0–2 years)
Our babies are cared for with patience and warmth. Gentle routines, sensory play, songs, stories, and one-on-one interactions help support early communication, comfort, and trust.

Toddlers (2–3 years)
Toddlers are naturally curious, and our program encourages them to explore, move, and discover. Through play-based activities, children build language, confidence, emotional awareness, and social skills.

Preschoolers (3–5 years)
Our preschool program, led by a qualified Early Childhood Teacher, helps children prepare for the next stage of their learning journey. Activities encourage independence, early literacy and numeracy, problem-solving, and positive friendships.

Play-based learning is an approach where children develop new skills through hands-on experiences, imagination, and exploration. Rather than sitting through formal lessons, children learn by interacting with their environment, materials, and other children.

At Juniors Journey, our educators carefully design play-based learning experiences underpinned by the Early Years Learning Framework. Activities may include building with blocks, creative art, storytelling, nature exploration, role-play, or simple science experiments.

Through these everyday play experiences, children naturally build communication skills, early literacy and numeracy understanding, social confidence, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.
Because learning happens through curiosity and enjoyment, children stay engaged while developing skills that support their future education.

Starting daycare before preschool helps children gradually become comfortable and confident in a shared learning environment outside the home. This early experience supports both emotional development and school readiness.

Children learn how to interact with other children, take part in group activities, and become familiar with simple daily routines such as mealtimes, play sessions, and rest periods.

With the support of caring educators, children also begin developing independence, communication skills, and resilience for a smooth transition to primary school.

Nurturing, welcoming and empowering every child

We provide high-quality early education that supports the learning and growth of every child. Our play-based principles and nutrition-focused meals encourage exploration, expression and celebration of individual learning journeys.
