Our purpose-built daycare and preschool centre in Gateshead offer innovative early learning programs in a safe, nurturing environment. Our Gateshead childcare centre comprising of five indoor rooms specifically designed to immerse your child into a world of exploration, curiosity and learning. Each room comprising of rich resources offers lot of natural light and directly access the outdoor play areas which include sandpit, soft ball, climbing equipment, slides and other playing equipment for children to safely develop their strength, balance and self-confidence through play.
Our diverse and qualified team of teachers makes sure every child feels respected, welcome, and safe. Our qualified Early Childhood Teacher leads a government-approved preschool program to prepare children for school.

In my approach to early childhood education, I believe that every child deserves to be treated with the utmost respect and dignity, as they are unique individuals with their own strengths, experiences, and potential.
Children are capable, competent learners, and my role as Centre Manager is to create an environment that nurtures their curiosity, fosters their development, and supports their growth as confident individuals.
By modelling respectful behaviour, I aim to cultivate a culture where children learn to respect others, as well as themselves. I recognise that each child brings their own cultural background, identity, and experiences, which should be honoured and celebrated. I am committed to ensuring that children feel proud of who they are, and that they know their ideas and contributions are important.
Safety is central to everything I do. Physical, emotional, and psychological safety are essential for children to thrive. I am committed to creating an environment where children feel secure, both physically and emotionally.
This involves ensuring we provide a safe space where children are protected from harm, but also that it is a space where they feel free to take risks, make mistakes, and explore new ideas. I believe that a sense of safety fosters confidence, creativity, and resilience.
Ultimately, my philosophy centres on creating an environment where respect, dignity, and safety are woven into every interaction. I believe that by fostering these values, children will not only develop the skills they need for a life long journey of learning, but also the emotional and social foundation to become compassionate, respectful, and responsible individuals in the world.

Yes! Juniors Journey is a CCS-approved child care provider which means families can claim the childcare subsidy at each of our centres. Contact your preferred centre to talk to one of our friendly Centre Managers for further help with enrolment and/or the CCS claim process.
We offer quality child care for children aged between 6 weeks to 6 years old.
Centre hours may vary across our different locations. Please refer to the individual centre web pages for further information on opening hours. Our Gateshead centre is open from 6 AM – 6PM Monday to Friday.
Any child from 6 weeks to 6 years old is eligible to attend our centres. To begin your enrolment, click here to fill out our enrolment form.
Children can be enrolled anytime during the year provided your chosen centre has capacity. In the case a centre is full, we can keep your details on our waitlist and let you know if places become available. If you’re interested in enrolling your child at one of our centres, reach out to your local centre director to arrange a tour.
At Juniors Journey, we offer a day full of play-based learning and development, catered to your child’s age.
For babies (0 to 2 years old), we provide a balanced day of care, rest and social stimulation. Our everyday routines provide opportunities for your baby to strengthen relationships and build language skills through songs, games and conversations.
For toddlers (2 to 3 years old), our educators plan age-appropriate play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals. Our activities support all areas of a child’s development, including language and motor movement, memory, concentration, emotions and social relationships.
For preschool children (3+ years old), preparing for ‘big’ school is our key focus. Our preschool programs are taught by a qualified early childhood educator and are designed to help prepare your child both socially and emotionally for the next step in their early education journey.
Play-based learning provides opportunities for children to actively and imaginatively engage with people, objects and their environment. When playing, children may engage in organising, constructing, manipulating, pretending, exploring, investigating, creating, interacting, imagining or negotiating.
